I have always gotten the impression that personal injury attorneys were kind of considered the bottom-feeders of the law profession. It seems like there are so many commercials on the television about private law practices. Yet, the only types of lawyers that run these advertisements are the ones that supposedly specialize in personal injuries. The vast majority of these commercials have the lawyers guaranteeing that they won’t collect a fee from you unless they win you money. Whenever I hear one of them make this claim, all I can think is that they probably turn down any potential clients unless they’re certain they can win the case. And when they do win a case it’s most likely won by using underhanded, dirt bag tactics in court. I am sure that none of these kinds of lawyers really care at all about getting “justice” for their clients as they claim to in the commercials. Once they do either win a case or get a settlement, I’m also certain that they demand the lion’s share of the payout while the actual client gets much less out of it than they really deserve. It’s no mystery to me why people seem to hate lawyers so much.
